It seems like 2007 has been a huge year for professional change. My friend Julie commented to me today that all the flux is because you meet so few people that are passionate about their jobs. You stay at a job until it has worn out its welcome, and you move on hoping your experiences will help you find a better fit.
Julie’s comment made me realize that we’re all playing one big cosmic game of Yahtzee. The dice get all shook up and spit out, and we play that round. Can’t get no satisfaction; shake up the dice and try a new round. People are the dice, getting tossed from situation to situation; hope springs eternal that we’ll fall into the right slot now and again.
